Pastor Don was born and raised in Pittsburgh’s South Oakland neighborhood.  He attended Central Catholic High School, became a social worker at Family Services, studied at the University of Pittsburgh pursuing a degree in history, received a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical studies from Central Bible College, a Master’s degree in Education and a Master’s of Divinity degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.  He was Pastor of the historic Gibson Chapel Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Missouri for twenty-two years and was the Resource Center director and Lay Academy director for the John Calvin Presbytery for ten years.  His wife, Mary Kay, originally from Pittsburgh’s South Side, is the pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon, PA.  They have two children, Danielle, a social worker and Donny, a representative for Salesforce software.  Together they are pleased as punch to be back home in the Pittsburgh area after an absence of 33 years.
